Oxford Wheels Project is a registered charity run by volunteers. The skatepark is funded by grant applications, donations and fund raising events co-ordinated by park users.  This year, amid the Covid-19 pandemic,  we are unable to hold events or provide coaching and as such our income has all but disappeared overnight. 

We continue to apply for grants and other funding sources but , understandably, most grants are now geared towards alleviating the Covid crisis. 

We beleive that the facility we provide and the hard work of our volunteers has huge value in the community and we could really do some financial support to continue to deliver the project.

Our annual running costs are typically £9500  which covers the cost of Insurance, Waste Collection, Ground Rent,  Administration and cleaning.  That’s about £182 a week to keep the skatepark running.  If we can’t cover these basic costs we legally have to close and lock the park which is looking more likely this year than ever before.
